Some contacts are not syncing with Telegram

Some of my contacts are not syncing with Telegram on my iPhone 14 Pro. Nevertheless, all well on my other phones (iPhone X and iPhone XS). Please note the following:

  1. I have the same iCloud account for all my devices. However, iPhone X and XS have more total contacts than my iPhone 14 Pro
  2. I have several “Contact Lists”, and they are all active (ticked) on all of my devices.
  3. I have executed all the basic steps to ensure syncing.
  4. No issues with WhatsApp app.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. The information below may help with syncing contacts.


You mentioned all "Contact Lists" are active and checked in the Phone app. Have you confirmed the all of your accounts on the device has contacts enabled? We ask because some contacts may be syncing from another email account. If contacts is disabled on that account, you will not see them in the list.


To check follow the steps below for each account and make sure Contacts is enabled. If it's not, that may be the reason the iPhone is missing some.

Turn Contacts on or off for an account
Want to add or remove all of the contacts from an account that you already set up? Just turn Contacts on or off for that account:
1. Go to Settings > Contacts > Accounts.
2. Tap the account that has contacts that you want to add or remove.
3. To add contacts, turn on Contacts. To remove contacts, turn off Contacts, then tap Delete from My iPhone.
