If the MacBook Air lacks sufficient storage capacity to migrate all the other Mac's contents, it will tell you what to do. You may choose among broad categories of items to transfer.
Prior to migrating the contents of the original Mac, consider the following:
Memory has no effect on what you can transfer from one Mac to the other, which is the reason I asked for more information.
Perhaps you are concerned about nothing. Transfer only what you need, or everything, it's up to you.
Those values don't make any sense, since there have been no Macs built with only 64 GB storage for well over a decade.
More information is required.
I have 64gb of memory in my iMac desk top. If using 8gb memory Air for travel how do I limit what transfers from iMac to Air?
My queation is: when setting up new Air, how do I control what gets copied to the new air (as the memory is not the same)?
