iPhone working by itself!!!

My wife has an iPhone 3g on o2, it has started to act on it's own (opening applications and making phone calls). If for instance it open the calculator on it's own you can actually see it type the numbers, has anyone had this problem.

It started doing this before I upgraded to OS4, I thought this might cure it but it hasn't. Please can anyone help?

When an iPhone starts doing things on it's own accord, there are a few possibilities:

1. It's jailbroken and got hijacked. This started happening about a year and a half ago. Many people didn't change their default root password after jailbreaking and someone could ssh to their iPhone and basically take over and do anything.

2. It's the PDF flaw present in recent iOS versions, where by visiting a malicious website and viewing a PDF you hand over full control of your iPhone to someone else.

3. It's another as of yet unknown security flaw and someone is exploiting it.

4. Your iPhone is possessed by the Devil, consult a priest.

5. Your iPhone has been taken over by Machines from the future, alert John Connor.

In any case, do a restore and the problem should go away... for now!
