My exercise ring was closed and now it’s not anymore?

My exercise ring for a previous day in the fitness app was closed, but now the app is saying its not? A friend I share my fitness data with responded to the notification that all of my ring were closed too, but now the app is saying that’s no longer the case. Is there any way to fix that?
