iPod Photo Boot Loop / Data Recovery

I have a 4th gen iPod photo A1099 that I believe has a broken hdd. When the battery has a charge, it goes into a boot loop where the hdd spins up and then restarts over and over until the charge dies. I am able to put it into disk mode, but nothing else. The data on this iPod is very important and sentimental, and I care more about the data than the device. I would like to recover this data and transfer it to my laptop (m1 Mac air). How can this be done?

Ipod Video 5th gen software deleted So i tried to fix my Ipod by using the disk utility since it cant be detected by apple music But then, i tried to delete the files and it so happened to delete the software from the ipod itself. And now it says "Connect to your computer. Use itunes to restore." Since itunes is no longer a thing, i only have the Apple Music. But since it cant detect the ipod i have don't got a clue on how to restore it. It only recognized as a hard drive in finder, but sometimes it show up and does not, is there anyway out of this? p.s. My OS is Monterey 12.6.5

iPod Classic 164, how to factory restore without iTunes Can I restore my iPod Classic 164 back to factory default without iTunes. The iPod got corrupted and now only mounts as a USB device. Thus it does not connect to iTunes.
