How many hours can you try logging in macbook again after incorrect password attempts and account is locked??

If you see an 'Unable to sign you in to your Apple ID' message - Apple Support:

"You need to wait at least 24 hours before you attempt to sign in again on that device or web browser."

in the same situtation since a day ago, and still can't get back in. called Apple and they said wait 1 hour, but even after almost 24 hours still saying "account is locked" with no cooldown. did you ever get back in?

my macbook account is been locked and when I tried to reset it through recovery it has asked me about firewall key which i don’t have.Now i tried entering password again after 9 hours. Account is still locked. Should I wait 24 hours and try?

i tried few more time after my account got locked!

I am so angry for apple. My kid just sat and entered wron password multiple times and locked it for 8h. This is sonstupid designg…. :((( never evere that would happen with win.
