this needs to be corrected, I do not understand why the wallet is the only way to access my account.

Hard to believe there aren't a million people complaining about not being able to see Savings account on a desktop browser. Sounds like another Apple being anti-competitive practice
Blathering nonsense. Enough with the anti-competitive lip flapping. You have a choice of hundreds of credit cards and savings plans, more than you could ever research. Apple Savings doesn’t even offer the highest rates so how on earth could it be anti-competitive. It’s tiring reading such nonsense from you.
So if I share my Apple Card Mastercard with my wife why can't she view my savings account? If its designed to only be used on the Iphone they should then allow you to select another apple Id to view the savings account if you choose. At least if the apple Id is in your family circle. They should be able to have access if the owner allows it.
The savings account was designed as an extension of the card, which itself was intended to be just an extension of the iPhone.
Apple Savings requires an Apple Card Mastercard account. The savings account is not meant for the general public and is considered by many a benefit of have an Apple Card account.
There are many HYSA’s on the market and if Apple Savings doesn’t meet your needs, then move on to a product that offers the features and benefits you feel are essential.
Anti-competitive. 🤔
Given your other comments you might mean non-competitive ???
(As in “Who would use this product ?”)
There are plenty of other savings products on the market …
… no one is twisting anyone’s arm; or otherwise compelling them to use the Apple/Goldman Sachs products.
No, currently Apple Savings account can only be viewed in the Wallet app on the their iPhone and iPad.
Because that's how Apple designed it to work. Both the Apple Card and the Savings account were designed from the ground up to managed with the iPhone. They simply are not like other services.
Accounts are single user accounts. Adding a co-owner or participant would not grant access to your account as they would be accessing their account in the wallet.
