How to remove the ignore time limit from child’s phone

Both my children have time limits set on screen time and apps. They are password protected but in the past few weeks maybe since an iOS update but can choose to ignore the screen time and carry on. The settings in my phone are still set up for them but are completely useless as they can bypass them.

Is there anyway I can get back control on their devices?

Hey there SamL3101,

We'd like to help by learning more about what's happening, along with ruling out some possible causes:

  1. When did this start to occur with being able to ignore Screen Time app limits on their devices?
  2. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone We also recommend restarting all devices.
  3. We see you have an iPhone 14, and the latest version available for it would be iOS 16.4.1(a). You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad. We also recommend making sure all devices are up to date depending on what your children are using.
  4. You mentioned already setting up app limits using Screen Time, but we wanted to confirm if 'Block at Downtime/Block at End of Limit' is still enabled in their devices?

Cheers!
