AirPod pro 2nd gen static

I have constant loud static in my AirPods, I heard Apple will fix even though warranty expired. Upon checking firmware is not up to date. Please advise thanks

Updating Airpods to the Latest Firmware:

A. Pair These:

Connect and pair these to a device that itself is already connected to the Internet. The firmware will be updated itself.
