I took raw photos with my iPhone 14 pro, then airdropped them into downloads on my MacBook m1.
I then imported them to Lightroom Classic & a message said "Could not copy a file to the destination folder because it is not writable." I want to be able to edit them using Lightroom.

It would be better if you can please re-post with a screenshot, in order to understand the phenomenon better. Images/pictures speak louder than words.
Please understand this is a public forum: While attaching a Screenshot, do not provide any personal credentials, such as IP address, Card detail, email id, apple id, IMEI number, Serial Number, Phone number, Order ID, if you are sharing a map ensure your location is not identifiable, etc.

Share ProRAW photos
Use iCloud Photos to access the original ProRAW file in full resolution on all of your devices. To transfer the original ProRAW file from your iPhone to another iPhone, iPad, or your Mac, use AirDrop. If you edited the photo in the Photos app and then you share it, you'll share a JPG file.
I have no problem transferring the raw files from iPhone to Mac using Airdrop. The problem occurs when I try to load from my Mac to Lightroom.

The answer is complicated & I have just spent 2 hours with Apple support on the phone & all is right now.
