rapid security password

keep getting message to enter in a password to update "rapid security response". what password is it asking for?

I have tried my Apple ID does not work, I tried my sign on id that doesn't work either.

Apple released a rapid security update to version 13.3.1(a). The (a) is the update. You are being prompted for administrative permissions to install the update.


If you have more than one account, perhaps the other user account is the correct one. Go to System Settings -> Users & Groups. You'll see a list of the user accounts and it will either say Admin or Standard on each account. You need to use the one that says 'Admin'. If you do not have admin rights because you are a Standard user, you will need to type in the username and the password of an Admin account to finish installing the rapid security response update.
