How to keep iPhone with double and triple camera phones on table or a surface.

Apple should clarify the iPhone users with some tips, Do's and Don'ts regarding how to keep iPhones escpecially double and triple camera phones on the desk, table and different surfaces. Also, need guidelines on whether phone should rest on the backside or frontside. Keeping it on backside gives a fear of scratches on camera lenses. Expert advice and opinions are welcome.

I would say that the best answer to your questions depends on if you use a phone case, and if so- what kind of case is on the phone. The only fool proof way to guarantee protection of the camera lenses is a case that slides over the cameras and is totally covered. I bought an overpriced phone case at the Verizon store and you bet a few months later I managed to drop my phone at the angle that was in just the right position to smack one of the cameras and shattered it. A raised edge around the camera lenses doesn’t protect the lenses from a situation like mine. I dropped my phone on concrete by the way and managed to get the angle just right to ruin one of the lenses. I do not recommend any kind of camera lense cover that I’ve seen before (similar to the screen protectors you can stick on your phone screen- for starters, anything (even a clear protector- can and will mess up the quality of your photos and the ability for the lenses to focus like they’re designed to do! And last but not least, screen protectors of any Kind have never truly protected any of my phones. Hope that helps! Oh and if you’re brave and talented enough to not have a case on your phone, I would recommend placing your phone face down. A damaged screen is replaceable through apple, but from my experience, a camera lense that gets replaced never works as good as it did before being damaged. I would purchase an entirely brand new phone before getting a camera lense replaced. I had it done by Apple and the technician told me they can’t guarantee that the camera lense is going to ever focus the way it’s supposed to! Moral of the story- purchase the monthly phone insurance if your phone service carrier provides it! And or continue paying for Apple Care coverage!

Keeping your iPhone's fancy camera safe: A balancing act!

Got a new iPhone with those cool double or triple cameras? Awesome! But worry creeps in when you set it down. Fear not, fellow phone fanatic, here are some ninja moves to keep your camera scratch-free:

Case Up: This is your first line of defense. Invest in a case with a raised lip around the cameras. Bonus points for a built-in lens cover!

Flat is the Way to Go: Whether face up or down, keep your phone flat. Avoid laying it on its side, especially with the cameras touching the surface.

Soft Landings: Worried about scratches? Land your phone on a soft surface like a napkin, cloth, or a trusty mousepad.

The "No-No" List:

  • Rough Surfaces: Concrete, gravel, sandpaper - these are camera lens kryptonite. Avoid them!
  • The Slide Show: Sliding your phone can cause tiny scratches over time. Pick it up, don't push it!
  • Pocket Party Crashers: Keys and coins in your pocket? Not a good idea for your phone or your fingers!

Face Up or Face Down? The Great Debate:

  • Face Up: Protects the cameras, but exposes the screen to potential scratches.
  • Face Down: Protects the screen, but exposes the cameras.

The Verdict: If you're extra worried about scratches, consider a screen protector and go face down.

Bonus Tip: Phone stands are your friend! They eliminate the need to lay your phone flat altogether.

Apple's Take: While they don't dictate how you place your phone, following these tips will help you minimize the risk. Now go forth and capture stunning photos without a care!
