You've listed two different errors in your post, so depending on which one you're actually getting will determine the path you need to follow.
If you're getting a "SIM not supported" error, that would mean the SIM card that's currently in the phone is not from the wireless carrier the phone is locked to. For example, if you originally purchased the phone from AT&T and it's still locked to them, if you put in a SIM from another carrier like T-Mobile, it will say that it's not supported. If this is the actual error message you're getting, then you would need to contact the wireless carrier the device is locked to, to see if they can unlock it.

If you're getting a "No SIM" error, then that would mean there is an issue reading the SIM card. If this is the actual error message you're getting, you'll want to test a different SIM card in the device to see if it is recognized or not. If multiple SIM's show "No SIM", then that would mean the issue is with the device and not the SIM card.
