Is it true that if somebody gets a hold of your iPhone code they can get a hold of all of your information if they steal your phone and they can change your Apple ID password. Is this true?

Hi there,

If your Apple ID password has been changed, you’ll immediately receive a notification (email and on your iPhone).

If you didn’t change your Apple ID password, you’ll be able to gain control of your Apple ID again by resetting your Apple ID password. See more here: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support

If you think somebody knows your iPhone passcode and/or your Apple ID password, change it immediately.

You may also change regularly your iPhone passcode for more security.

Hi there,

Well, if your iPhone contains many information in unprotected apps (ie, apps that don’t require an additional password or passcode), yes, the thief can access certain information.

As for your Apple ID, you may be able to change your password using the iPhone passcode.

But if your iPhone is stolen, you can block it so it gets unusable: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support
