AppStore

I am having problems trying to download updates from the AppStore on my iPhone.

I thought it was connected to WiFi issues so tried both work and home networks that wasn't the problem.

I can connect to iTunes OK with the account. I have changed the login details (email address) to see if that was in some way connected that hasn't done anything.

It just hangs when I try and update.

Here are a variety of resources helping with connectivity issues:

If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services, read this support article --> If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services - Apple Support

- If none of the suggestions work, try the last one: "If you’ve tried all of the above steps and you still can’t connect, contact Apple Support."

Here's a related article about what to do if you can't connect or sign in to iCloud --> If you can't connect or sign in to iCloud - Apple Support

Here's a case where using a VPN prevented sign-in --> https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253164691

If none of the resources provide a solution, contact Apple for assistance:

For support, click here --> Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

Had to turn off the internal VPN on the phone.

I have ExpressVPN and was turning that off and nothing happened. I thought that by turning off the phone VPN in the main settings page was actually turning off the phone VPN but it doesn't.

I had to go into Settings/VPN & Device management and turn off the phone VPN in there and it started to work again.
