amazon prime not playing streaming video on any platform. Only sound is coming through

Tried Chrome, Safari and Firefox- and the stand alone App from Amazon prime to watch video. May well be an issue with external monitors on my relatively new MacBook Air. My OS version is 13.3.1, and I have 8 GB ram installed.

Thanks for any ideas- I have seen this exact issue posted with no replies- so reposting

Hey there Craftwerx,

We'd like to learn more about what's happening to see how we can help, along with ruling out some possible causes:

  1. When did this start to occur on your Mac?
  2. Are other streaming websites(like YouTube for example) having the same issue?
  3. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out the section ‘Restart your Mac' here: Shut down or restart your Mac
  4. You mentioned macOS 13.3.1 is installed, but the latest version is macOS 13.3.1(a). You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update macOS on Mac.

Cheers!
