wireless keyboard is not holding a charge

My 45 day old wireless keyboard is only holding a charge for 2 days. My old wireless keyboard would always hold a charge for longer than a week. What do I do?

A1314 wireless keyboard draining batteries fast I recently purchased an M4 MacBook Pro and paired it with my A1314 keyboard (bought 10 years ago) but the batteries suddenly started to drain very fast. They hardly last a week. I’ve seen other people with the same problem but the only response was to chuck the keyboard out because it’s “old.” Is this really the only solution there is? Thanks!

Magic Keyboard not charging My keyboard will not charge beyond about 20% even though I leave it to charge for several hours. It is still functioning via Bluetooth. Looking at Bluetooth settings it shows up greyed out. It is a fairly old keyboard, maybe 6 years old so perhaps the battery is failing.
