iTunes Library vs Apple Music

I had a ton of music in my iTunes music library (1500+ tracks) that I either ripped off cds or purchased on iTunes. When I subscribed then unsubscribed from Apple Music I didn’t realize it was going to take all of the music with it. How do I get my stuff back?

Back in like 2009 when I got a new MBP I was able to ask for help once and was sent a link to redownload my library onto it. I’m hoping for the same outcome but all the google searches I’ve done now are telling me I should have the backups in my iCloud. When I check I don’t see any of my music there either.

Can you help me?

I also have a large music library ( ripped cds and iTunes purchases). I keep being asked to sync my library with Apple Music when trying to create a playlist. I am reluctant to do that as I am afraid that I will lose my music.

am wondering if there is a work around to create a playlist.

I didn’t realize this is what it meant by that. I find it to be absolute crap that this is what has happened when I did that. Apple needs to put a warning on this “sync” prompt. Garbage feature.
