2017 imac pro won't play 4k 60fps video

My 2017 iMac pro freezes or lags when I try to play or edit 4K 60fps video. Specs are 3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W - Radeon Pro Vega 64 16GB - 64GB 2666 MHz DDR4.

Is this machine underpowered for this work or are there settings I can tweak?

how to fix the slowness in an iMac ? iMac running extremely slow, spinning beach ball appears after trying to open any application. I called for apple support at 2 times, and based of their diagnostics reinstall the macOS was needed, but that trick just worked for a few days and the slowness returned to the iMac. iMac specs: Processor 3 GHz 6-Core Intel i5 Graphics Radeon Pro 560X 4GB Memory 8 GB Fusion Drive macOS Sonoma I will post how I fixed in the answers and hopefully this can help you too.
