Internet 2.4GHz can't join on Mac Mini running Monterey 12.6.5

I have 2 Mac Minis running Monterey 12.6.5 that can't join 2.4GHz internet. MacBook running El Capitan 10.11.6 joins 2.4GHz fine. What is missing? I have done the resets etc with no change.

Mac mini, macOS 12.6

WiFi not staying connected. If your router is using WPA2/WPA3 Mixed Mode "Wireless Protected Access", try changing your router to just WPA2. Not all routers play nice with Macs that are trying to use WPA2. I cannot give you exact instructions, each home router is different. Check with your router manufacture. If switching to just WPA2 does not improve the situation, then you can always switch back to WPA2/WPA3 Mixed Mode. Try disabling IPv6: Monterey: System Preferences -> Network -> Select Interface in left column -> Advanced (button) -> TCP/IP (tab) -> Configure IPv6 -> Link-local only Ventura: System Settings -> Network -> Wi-Fi -> Details -> TCP/IP (tab) -> Configure IPv6 -> Link-Local Only

Good ideas but...I downloaded Monterey 12.6.1. No change. Apple is referring me to senior tech tomorrow.

Apple sent a great procedure: "Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points." If I find out how to attach it I will. See R. Phillips above. Went through it with the Apple tech. Everything was set right. Still no 2.4.

I changed Modem/Router to an older model Netgear that was working. Now no 2.4GHz!! I will have to talk to Spectrum again 5/6/23.

Have an Ancient 2011 Apple Mac Mini that only supports 2.4 connections

The Other 5 machines all support the 5 gHz Band over AES/WPA2 with the ac connections

The ISP Router is Dual Band 5.0 and 2.4 spectrums

Have configure the ISP Router to broadcast the 5 gHz Ban in Auto Mode.

Meaning that when the 2011 Mac Mini attempts to connect, depending on Signal Strength, the Router will auto broadcast the 5 gHz signal to this machine in 2.4 over n versus 5 gHz over ac.

The other devices will not be impacted and still receive signals over the 5 gHz band with ac
