Can’t control iPhone after using remote app

I so if I open the remote app on my iPhone 14 promax and control one of my Apple TVs with it and then I open iTunes later and try to play music on my iPhone it won’t let me. I can’t force close the remote app as it stays in the dynamic island and won’t close, it will let me play the iTunes music on the Apple TV but it won’t let me play it from my iPhone any longer same thing happens with my AirPods connected

Hello thefatkid007,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

We understand that music is not playing as expected on the Apple Music app. We are happy to help.

Is this music being streamed or it is downloaded? Are you an Apple Music subscriber? These answers will help us isolate the cause further.

These steps may help. Please try the steps here: If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support

"On your iPhone 8 or later, including iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation)

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
  4. If your phone doesn't turn on, follow these steps to check your hardware and charge your phone. You might need to charge for up to an hour.
  5. If your phone still doesn't turn on, contact Apple Support."

We also recommend the steps here: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support

  1. "Close and reopen the app
  2. Restart your device
  3. Check for updates
  4. Delete the app, then redownload it"

Let us know if you have further questions.

Take care.

Yeah, that’s kind of my point. I shouldn’t have to turn my phone on and off every time I use the remote app on my phone and then I want to play music through my phone speaker through iTunes. Yes I have an iTunes subscription I have the music on my phone and stream either one, but I don’t know why any of that’s relevant. The point is once you open the remote app you can’t force close it because it goes into the dynamic island and then if you open iTunes, the only place you can play the music is to the Apple TV or to my HomePod. There’s no way to select my eye phone speaker. There’s no way to force close the remote app so I have to turn off my phone and turn it back on which I can promise you isn’t how they designed the phone to act.
