How can I have my desktop background behind transparent fullscreen apps?

When an app with transparent features gets opened in fullscreen mode I see a black background behind the app, whereas in previous versions of MacOS I would see my desktop wallpaper. Is it possible to have my desktop wallpaper as background for all fullscreen transparent applications?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6

You're right.

I also tried with a transparent window in Terminal, and it becomes black when in full screen.

There is probably not a setting users can change to make this happen.

You may want to use feedback and make a request.
