So sick of this. It is so distracting and has made using Maps extremely unpleasant. So many things are forced into our view now, while more taps and clicks have been added to vital functions (like stopping navigation) because they have disappeared from the screen. STOP IT, Apple. You're making the app more dangerous and frustrating to use.

The "Guides We Love" feature is built into the Maps app. This specific feature can't be disabled or removed. All adjustable settings for the Maps app can be found by going to Settings > Maps on your iOS device. If you created a specific guide and wish to remove it, you can do so by following these steps here: Organize places in My Guides in Maps on iPhone - Apple Support
Remove a guide
1. Tap your picture or initials at the top right of the search card, then tap Guides.
2. If neither your picture nor initials appears, tap Cancel next to the search field, or tap the search field, then tap Cancel.
3. Tap Edit at the bottom of the screen.
4. Select a guide, then tap Delete.
We also recommend that you review Apple's Unsolicited Idea Submission Policy. Specifically, the section under "Product Feedback". That way you can leave Apple feedback on things they change or improve.
