what should i do with old devices?

what should i do with old devices? I have a 10 an 8 a 6 an 11 an Xs and an old iPad Apple says they are just going to recycle them and give me nothing for them. The parts alone are worth something ! They should give old devices or obsolete so called some some kind of incentive or free App Store / something!!!
