Will I lose my Filemaker Pro if I update my os?

You might be able to use an external drive to boot a later OS from, but if FM Pro is needed then I'd clone what you have now for safety, Carbon Copy Cloner seems to accomplish it...

Thanks for your input. This is what I suspected and why I have not upgraded before. I guess I’ll keep my old desktop going w my outdated OS, and use my new laptop separately. Unfortunately, Dropbox will no longer work with my old computer beginning in June. Oh well! Thanks again!
