Capitalization, punctuation and keyboard issues

My iPhone has all of a sudden with the 16.4 update gone back to capitalizing the first letters of proper names in an email address and placing a space after a period within the email address.

This had been corrected at some point but when iOS updated to 16.4 it came back with a vengeance. Because not only was it doing this, but it also had my keyboard take on a mind of its own.

As I would type on my keyboard, it would not recognize the actual letters I was typing, it was typing the letters next to them. When I go back and I read what I’ve typed, I have to physically change every third or fourth word and correct it, sometimes changing an entire sentence because my keyboard typed everything wrong. I know this is a problem with update 16.4 because I've never had this issue before.

I can't type an email address to log into a website because I can't fix what the update is doing.

I had hoped that when iOS updated to 16.5 this problem would be corrected since I know I wasn't the only one.

I'd like Apple Support to step in and address these two issues because there is no fix in the settings. It's not an auto capitalization or punctuation issue, it's your update. So unless it's changed some other setting within the system I'm unaware of after having an iPhone for 7 years, enlighten me.
