Can see angles for my multicam edit in FCPX

I'm on FCPX 10.6.5 on OS Monterrey. I've named my angles and camera and synced the clips and then put the sync into a new project.

However I when I select 'angles', nothing shows up in the angle viewer, and I'm not able to switch between different angles.

I've tried everything. What do I need to do to get this to work?

I take back what I said earlier. I looked again and realise I clicked on Clips> Synchronise Clips, instead of File>New>Multicam. So now it works! So what is Clips>synchronise clips for?

In the first picture you posted this says you're inside a compound clip

In the second image this says you're inside a sync clip

Neither is a multicam clip.

You need to select the clips in the browser you want to use inside the multicam clip, right click and use create muticam clip. You need to put that multicam clip inside a project.
