iPhone 14 microphone stops working with speakerphone and voice memos

I have recently bought an iPhone 14. All was going well until some torrential rain got it wet and the bottom microphone stopped working. I have since had this replaced fearing that it was water damage (and not covered under warranty).

But now my bottom microphone is temperamental and stops working when I have calls on speakerphone and when using voice memos. I can still take calls and people can hear me but only when not on speakerphone.

At first glance a forced shut down fixes these issues and then a few minutes later I retest and the microphone has stopped working.

The actual microphone component is fine so it seems to be a bug in the software.

Any advice?
