Why there are not all movies there. For example the newest James Bond and all John Wick movies?

The availability of movies on movie streaming apps depends on several factors:

  1. Licensing agreements: Movie streaming apps typically secure licensing agreements with film studios, production companies, and distributors to obtain the rights to stream their movies. These agreements define which movies can be made available on the platform and for how long. The terms of these agreements vary, and they can be limited to specific regions or time periods.
  2. Regional restrictions: Due to licensing and distribution arrangements, certain movies may only be available in specific geographic regions. This is often influenced by factors such as distribution rights, language preferences, and local regulations. As a result, the availability of movies can differ from one country to another or even within different regions of the same country.
  3. Release windows: Movie streaming apps may have to adhere to release windows, which are specific timeframes during which movies can be made available for streaming. This is particularly relevant for new releases, as they may have an exclusive theatrical release window before becoming available on streaming platforms.
  4. Platform-specific agreements: Some movies may be exclusive to a particular streaming platform. These exclusivity agreements can limit the availability of certain movies to specific apps or services. Platforms often compete for exclusive rights to popular movies or franchises to attract more subscribers.
  5. Content acquisition strategy: Movie streaming apps develop their content libraries through various strategies. This can include licensing popular and critically acclaimed movies, producing original content, acquiring independent films, or partnering with specific studios or distributors. The content acquisition strategy of a platform directly impacts the selection of movies available for streaming.
  6. Content rotation: Streaming platforms regularly update their libraries, adding new movies while removing others. This rotation allows them to keep their offerings fresh and cater to changing audience preferences. Movies may be removed due to the expiration of licensing agreements or the platform's decision to make space for new content.

It's important to note that the availability of movies on streaming apps can change over time as licensing agreements are renegotiated and new movies are added or removed. Additionally, different streaming platforms may have different catalogs, so the availability of specific movies can vary between services.
