Storage - Loading items

I have been trying to see what documents are taking up the most storage on my MacBook, but it never actually "Loads the items" it is claiming to load. Has anyone figured out how to fix this issue?

What precisely do you want to see? Different apps will display different items. I use the paid version of Daisy Disk for full view.
