Word suggestions & Emoji Icons no longer appear on touchbar when typing!

When typing in any program I used to be able to type a word OR a word for an emoji and immediately get a suggestion on the touchbar - either on how to spell the word or emoji options for the word. (ex. smh would give me a 🤦‍♀️ emoji which I could tap and keep on typing. Now that function is gone, including the word suggestions. I have checked my touchbar settings and all seems to be correct. The current version of Mojave including bug fixes, security updates is 10.14..6 (July 21, 2021)

Keep your Mac up to date - Apple Support

You can try from Activity Monitor.app >Force Quit the "EmojiFunctionRowIM" process

Then retry tap on the emoji icon on TouchBar to start again.

click open the process and Quit>ForceQuit

I am having the same problem. It was there at 13.3. and still a problem with 13.4. Same exact problem. I'm losing my mind. Force quitting all those options does nothing. Emoji icon doesn't even show up anymore, just English or Japanese (in my case)
