tab bar displaying “border” squares

I’ve switched the color scheme on my iPhone 13 Pro to grayscale from the accessibility options and I started to notice “squares” in my tab bar, across apps. Instead of the active tab icons displayed in color, there’s a square/ border around each tab in the background. This started happening after I set the accessibility shortcut to switch between grayscale and color.

How do I reset this?
