I enjoy the feature of always on display being triggered or turned off, but when there’s no focus activated, no matter what it will be on when I want it off. How the heck do I keep it turned off automatically without having to manually deactivate it

Toggle the Always on display to Off on the Brightness & Display settings. If you want a focus to turn it on, use the Focus Filters to turn it on/off whichever focus you want it on/off. That should make is so that when Work focus turns off, the Always on should also turn off because the system default Always On is off, when Work turn back on, the Always on should be on.

The best way to fix this issue is create an automation in the shortcuts app that turns the AOD on and off depending on if you turn the focus mode on or off. Now it works as intended 😊
Go to the shortcuts app and make a new automation. Then scroll down to “do not disturb” for example. Select “when turning off” “run immediately”. Next and “new blank automation”. Add action and search “display” and select “set always on display”. Set it to ON. Should work as intended!

Same issue. My “work” focus is set to turn the always on display to “on” so I can see notifications without touching the phone. The “always on display” setting does NOT revert to “off” when the focus is turned off.
yeah no, after a focus mode activated, it reverts back into ON even tho the focus mode used keeps it turned off. Like no matter what It keeps it on unless I put the focus that has it off
but what about when it reverts to no focuses at all, no focuses are activated. When It goes from work focus to turned off always on display turns on even If i never did
