pinned photos disappeared on my mac mini

I have 9 favorite people pinned on my messages app. At one time, I had photos on all the pins. All of the photos are all still there on my iphone. But 2 photos have disappeared on the pinned contacts on the messages app on my mac mini. How do I get those photos back on the mac mini?

Having problems inserting photos into apps. Community - I'm having problems inserting photos in to apps. In particular (this morning) as a profile pic for a contact in Contacts. But, generally also into emails in the Mail app. The first issue is that it seems like we are only allowed to insert images from the Photos app. I would like to be able to be able to upload an image from any image type file (jpg png, etc) in any folder on my mac, or even from a flash-drive. The second, and more critical problem, is that when I try to upload from the Photos app., I have been unable to locate the image I want. 1) There seems to be no logical rhyme or reason to where photos are located; 2) The window we have to search in is so small it is difficult to use; and, more frustrating is that the Table of Contents (or Photos window) I am given to search from in the Mail or Contacts app does not seem to correspond with the Table of Contents I get when I open my Photos app. I took a screen shot of those table of contents next to each other to illustrate. Hopefully you can see that they are not the same, not even the Albums are the same. Note: When I inserted the image below, I had the ability to chose it from any file in any folder on my computer, which is what I like. Not all photos in the "recent" album are shown after sync with macbook After enabling photo sync on my macbook, not all photos are displayed in the «Recent». They are still visible in the library and other albums. This is very frustrating since most apps use «Recent» and I can't find many photos there. Before that, I only synced photos between the iCloud and my iPhone and everything was ok. Yes, and there were no photos on my macbook before.

Attachments Disappear from Messages on MacBook but Stay on iPhone and iPad Hello, thought I'd rekindle this, as I bought a new macbook air M2 running Ventura 13.0.1. If someone iMessages me a picture, image is replaced with a 'piece of paper' icon on the macbook air after a day or two, or after I restart. I haven't figured out the actual pattern, but actual images never disappear on my iOS devices. On the mac, I have FOREVER checked for message retention and don't have the settings in PHOTOS that are mentioned earlier in the thread. This appeas to be a bug in MacOS that has been around for a while, unless there is some setting I am missing. Thank you for your help!

If you mean the little ID graphic for a contact, that's mirrored on a message, I've never found a way to prevent one from reverting to the Apple supplied default. Just a glitch it seems to me too minor for Apple to fix.
