Problematic heart rate monitor results on Ultra 3 When will Apple admit their HR monitor function on Ultra is messed up, especially when exercising? I've tried everything suggested and still get the 160-175 bpm readings in the first 5-8 minutes of an elliptical workout. Do we loyal Apple users need to purchase a bluetooth HR chest band or arm band to get accurate readings during a workout after already spending hundreds on a smart watch?

Magnetic interference is possible with medical devices as well as similar items. This is outlined in detail at the article About potential magnetic interference with medical devices - Apple Support. What we'd recommend is to speak with Garmin about possible sensitivities.
