I just purchased an iPod touch that was refurbished, and it will not connect to the Wi-Fi

I just purchased an iPod and an order for me to set it up. I would have to connected to the Wi-Fi. It will not connect to the Wi-Fi. It keeps saying.it cannot connect.

If it's an older model of iPod Touch (such as a 2nd generation), it only has 2.4GHz Wi-Fi ability, so make sure that you are trying to connect to the 2.4GHz service on your router and not to the 5GHz service. The networks may be listed as <router name-2G> or <router name-5G>). The label on the router itself may help you if you're not sure which network is the 2G one.


Note: both the 2G and the 5G mentioned here as part of the router's network refer to the speed of the connection between the device and the router. It is nothing to do with 5G mobile phone (cell phone) technology, which refers to the "fifth generation" technical standard.
