I appreciate the reply Jeff. I only have one Apple ID, 2 devices and it’s telling me to remove devices that don’t exist. Apple support hasn’t helped, restoring from different backups didn’t help nor did restoring phone and setting up as new. When I removed applecash from my iPad thinking it would help, I am now getting that exact message on my iPad. Am I misunderstanding what you wrote? Is having another apple id really the fix?
been speaking with senior advisors from apple and reps from green dot who provides Apple Cash for more than 2 hours total since Thursday . Apple wrote a ticket to engineering department that hasn’t even been looked at yet
this is what I messaged support during my latest contact this morning and what I think happened
“I keep getting this error when setting up Apple Cash.
Apple Cash is turned off on all my devices
I think what happens is when I restore my phone from backup it doesn’t remove my account details from my wallet. Like if I restored my phone 10 times, it counts this 1 device as 10.
I had Apple Cash on my iPad. With the advice of the last person I spoke with at apple support, She told me to remove it and was then unable to add it back on my iPad as well.
i was conveniently using Apple Cash to pay my Apple Card so this really frustrating
jeff thanks again
