Mail popup won't go away
Has anyone seen anything like this. I can't get it to stop. I have to quit Apple Mail and reopen it when I want to check my messages.

Thanks for the advice. I have all kinds of problems with Cox. I removed the account, then went to the webmail page for them. Changed the password, but...
As you can see in the screenshot, when I enter the new password in Mail>Preferences>Accounts it rejects the new password. Not the first time this has happened. I'll give it some time.
You're welcome.
Sounds like Mail is loading all of your Mail that is stored on the Cox server and I believe that you should used IMAP instead of POP for the Account Type.
Do you remember if you were using IMAP or POP before?

I understand now. Didn't mean to be rude. I've attached another screenshot with the email account hidden. This is a huge mystery to me and any advice would be most appreciated.
Excluding any personal information, what does the popup say?

Finally, it worked. Thanks so much for your help.
I spoke too soon. Every few minutes now I get hundreds of emails in my Cox account that I have to delete. Sigh.
