Watch capability with smoke detector / fire alarm

Hi all. My son is hearing impaired and we're hoping he can get an Apple watch soon (for the alarm / vibration capability for waking up). We are also hoping it can have some features to pair with or at least cooperate with our smoke detectors. I have 2 questions:

  1. I'm curious if any version of the Apple watch can be paired with a smoke detector so it can notify and vibrate when the alarm is going off.
  2. I have experimented with the sound recognition feature in Accessibility on my own watch and haven't figured it out yet. We recorded the sound of our smoke alarm and I keep getting notifications (on my phone and watch) that it heard it... even a day later). I eventually shut off the notifications as I don't see a way to "view" them and acknowledge that I've seen it. Also curious how to get notified on my watch with vibration instead. The setting on my phone is for vibration but it isn't coming through that way on my watch.

Thanks!

There are smoke and carbon monoxide alarms that are Homekit compatible and that can send notifications to an iPhone. You would need to explore how iPhone/ Watch notifications function.
