Home app showing "Loading Accessories and Scenes" in perpetuity.

After upgrading to the new HomeKit architecture my iPhone was stuck on "Loading Accessories and Scenes". The upgrade worked on all the other devices.

After trying all kinds of possible solutions, turning off my VPN solved the problem.

iOS 17.6.1 app store display broken Since updating to iOS 17.6.1 I have found the “app store” application to be unreliable. While it does eventually work, it seems to take much longer to update downloaded applications. Until this update, the app store would show you a list of applications that are available to update. Selecting “update all” would see that list update continuously - as each download completed, the count of programs to update would be decreased by 1, and the most recent update description would move the top of the list of “UPDATED RECENTLY”. Now you get no overall indication of progress until all the updates are done. If you change to another app, e.g. “settings” to check your network, when you go back to the app store, it hangs with the rotating circle and you need to force quit and restart app store to see what the progress actually is. This is a major inconvenience - updates take over 5 times as long, and the “updating” list no longer accurately shows what is happening. Amazing how something that worked reliably for a dozen years suddenly looks like it was written by a failed student programmer!

This iPad Can No Longer View This Home I ran into this issue today. I'm not sure how long it has been happening since I haven't used the Home app in a long time: I took this image from App Home - Apple Community but it's effectively the same as I am seeing. I updated iOS to 15.7.8 on an iPad Air 2. I reinstalled the Home app as suggested but the issue persists. I suppose I could do a factory reset to revert to an older version of the app. However, after everything updates, I'd be back in the same position so I'm quite hesitant to try that. The Home app seems to be suggesting the issue is software and not hardware. The App Store says under Compatibility: "Works on this iPad". Why does this error occur? How do I resolve it?
