HELP!!!!!!!! Won't Can't cancel FREE TRIAL APP

I downloaded a app for iphone from the App Store, Pixelup, started the free trial 3 day lifetime access used it for a hour, decided I didn't like it. Went to the subscriptions, active it does not show up, now it's going to charge me £39.99. And there is no way to cancel, I emailed app developers, automated response said they don't have the authority to change the subscription plan. Help. This app has singlehandled scared me from downloading any other app. I had no problem with other apps, before.

Hello Runeweaver,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you.

Have you had the chance to review, If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support? If not, take a look at section: Can’t find the subscription that you want to cancel?, for the best solution to address this issue.

Can’t find the subscription that you want to cancel?

You can cancel iCloud+ in your iCloud storage settings.

If you aren't trying to cancel iCloud+, find your receipt:

1. Search your email for the words "receipt from Apple."
2. On the receipt for the subscription, check which Apple ID was used.

Email receipt that shows the Apple ID that was used for a purchase from Apple.

* If a family member's Apple ID appears on the receipt, ask that family member to use the steps in this article to cancel the subscription. You can’t cancel a family member's subscription.
* If another Apple ID that you use appears on the receipt, sign in with that Apple ID and use the steps in this article to cancel the subscription.
* If you can't find a receipt from Apple for the subscription, you might have bought the subscription from another company. To find out which company bills you, check your bank or credit card statement. To cancel the subscription, you must contact the company that bills you for the subscription.

If you continue to run into issues, you may want to reach out to an Apple billing specialist to see if they can help. You can reach them directly at Get Support.

Best regards.

Yea this has happened twice to me now too. App says free trial and then you have paid for a year before you know it. No option to cancel apart from reporting the transaction with Apple which I’ve done and luckily they refund the money. It’s a bit of a scam from the apps. You are duped to think you have time to see if you like it or not. All apps should have a 24 hour cooling off period.
