New version NEVER auto-updates

I’ve had my iPhone 14 pro over 6 months now and every time there’s a new update I get the message that it will download and install overnight and every morning thereafter it tells me it failed to install. Would I like to update now or later?

I had the same problem with my XR

yes I have automatic updates checked on in general settings

Hey Androidnevergavemeheadaches,

It appears that the auto update is performing as expected. The main issue is that the update has failed to install. There may be one or more reasons to why the update might fail to complete. Check out this article for more info: If your iPhone or iPad won't update

Most importantly, you must be connected to a strong stable network connection during the process of updating. If this happened with your previous device as well, then we can safely assume that the issue might be coming from your network connection rather than the device. We suggest that you occasionally power cycle your main modem and router just in case of any network interruptions. To do this, simply unplug your modem and wait 30 seconds before plugging it back in.

Let us know if the article or the steps we provided above was helpful.

Cheers!
