Too many locked fonts

As you have discovered, the Apple installed fonts cannot be removed. And it has been true for some time that Apple's operating systems install many foreign and other fonts that we may not want. Because they are installed as part of the OS, they cannot be removed or made inactive. The good news is that with the introduction of the Ventura OS we can now use the Font Book app to create Font Collections. That is, groups of fonts we wish to use. They are accessed at the top of the Font menu of various apps such as Word. Now we don't have to always scroll down through the list many fonts we never use to access ones that we do use. Set up your Font Collections and start saving time.

The app that is generating that mile-long list needs to be updated to work correctly. The Font Manager API has been around for over five years. You'd think they could write their software correctly by now. The app should not show every font in the system.

Contact the developer and ask them to fix it.
