iPad Pro 2022 internet speed slower than iPad Pro 2020

As indicated in the title and demonstrated in the image, I am able to achieve a maximum speed of 944 Mbps on my iPad Pro 4, whereas on my iPad Pro 6, the speed ranges from 670-720 Mbps. These tests were done using the same Cat7 ethernet cable and USB type-C hub, and various speed test apps and websites confirm the same results.

I am wondering what could be the cause of this issue. Is it possible that my iPad Pro 6 is faulty in some way? Like a bad type-C port or something? Or apple just degraded the 2022 iPad Pro's type-C port?

A individual test result is, in isolation, not necessarily an accurate indication. You are potentially comparing Apples and Oranges - as your two iPads, running fundamentally different versions of iPadOS, may be routing traffic via different external gateway services (e.g. Apple Private Relay).

As is, you are comparing substantially different system hardware (M2 SoC vs A12Z CPU) and different Operating Systems (iPadOS 14.x vs iPadOS 16.x).

As for your iPad Pro6, perhaps the best that you can hope achieve in comparing network performance of you two iPads Pro is to ensure that you have fully disabled Apple Private Relay.
