Connectivity problems after 16.5.1 upgrade

Any suggestions for fixing connectivity issues on an ipad after the 16.5.1 upgrade? I am always connected but my internet speed varies wildly. Sometimes 400mbps, sometimes 2mbps. I have tried resetting the network settings, contacting my internet provider, switching out the router, turning the router off and on. Still the problems persist. Any suggestions?

That is exactly what both my iPhone and iPad show, so I guess we dodged that bullet. They must have deactivated the "install" link, were it there before. I have auto-updates turned off ( call me old school) so I get notifications, at least for previous Rapid Response patches.


Sadly, that puts us back to Square One with your actual issue. Have you gone someplace else with internet service and tested the speed/stability?


As I'm now officially out of ideas, I am going to ask our Mods to move you to the iPad community section where you will get more eyes on the question. This current section, "Using Apple Support Communities," is titularly for asking about issues with the forum software but has become a bit of a hodge-podge and does not get the expert eyes that inquiries do in a product-specific forum.


As Apple does a great job of hiding the ASC Site Map, you may want bookmark it to see the various product-specific forums section available:
