That is exactly what both my iPhone and iPad show, so I guess we dodged that bullet. They must have deactivated the "install" link, were it there before. I have auto-updates turned off ( call me old school) so I get notifications, at least for previous Rapid Response patches.
Sadly, that puts us back to Square One with your actual issue. Have you gone someplace else with internet service and tested the speed/stability?
As I'm now officially out of ideas, I am going to ask our Mods to move you to the iPad community section where you will get more eyes on the question. This current section, "Using Apple Support Communities," is titularly for asking about issues with the forum software but has become a bit of a hodge-podge and does not get the expert eyes that inquiries do in a product-specific forum.
