“Activate Card” Option Is Missing

I received a Titanium Mastercard from Apple. To activate the card it was supposed to be as simple as “tapping” the package that it came in. That did not work. Secondly, I was supposed to go into the Wallet app and go under “card details,” but the option for “activate card” is absolutely, totally missing. The technician I was talking to last week apparently didn’t believe me, so she asked if she could take over my phone and see it for herself. So that’s what we did, and she finally admitted that the option is just missing. Not there. Goldman Sachs blames Apple, Apple blames Golman Sachs. I’m at a dead-end here. My wife keeps telling me, “why don’t you just tell them where they can put that titanium card?“ But for me, at a certain point, it becomes a matter of principle. We must overcome.

OK, after almost 2 weeks of getting the runaround from both Apple tech-support and Goldman Sachs, the problem has been solved – at least, for me. In my case, it turned out that the cause of the glitch was an old Apple Cash card in my Apple wallet with a balance of $1.10 on it. I have no idea what that has to do with installing and activating an Apple Titanium card, but that was it. The fix was to delete my Apple wallet and its contents from my iPhone, then reboot. Once I reinstalled Wallet, the installation of the Titanium card went flawlessly, including the activation. I went to “card details,” scrolled down, and there it was: that evasive “activate card” option. What a sight for sore eyes!

So, to sum up, the solution in my case was to delete and reinstall the Wallet app. That fixed the problem for me. Once I did that, the activation procedure worked perfectly. I hope it works for you, too!

I should also mention that the person who finally solved this mind-wracking problem was Shakedra, an Apple Card specialist with Goldman Sachs. After I had spent the past two weeks trying to activate this card, by speaking with countless other Apple support agents, she was the one who finally got it done. Not only that, but she did it in a little over half an hour. Some of the other agents I spoke with kept me on the phone for two hours or more, with endless repetitive steps and diagnostics—and this went on for two weeks! But then came Shakedra … (music finale up)

I am having this problem. At first i thought it was because I didnt have any available storage on my phone. I legit deleted everything but imessage and safari. still no luck. I am now being told that i have to sign out of my appleID. but when i go to do this, i am getting a message that all my photos will be deleted and it will essentially be like restarting my phone? why the **** isnt there just a phone number to call to activate, like every other card in the world? what a dumb system in the name of being cool with a tap
