What if you forgot your password and you need to access to wipe out personal info so that another owner can own it?

What if you forgot your MacBook Pro password and you need to access to wipe out personal info so that another owner can own it?

I sold my MacBook Pro it is not in "my devices", not a choice. I need to make sure it is completely wiped clean.

Your MacBook Pro password is not relevant, if you don’t care about its contents.

You will need access to your Apple ID, and can perform a local wipe.
