I need to recover my private relay email generated for my Weverse account. Out of curiosity (and I thought it's gonna resolve my issues bec I'm not getting any email comms from my private relay account) I selected Stop Using Apple ID and can no longer login via Apple in Weverse (unless I manually type my private relay)
So I can login with this method but I still need the email forwarding (at least) setup so if I win an event from Weverse, I will know.

If you've replied to stop using the iCloud Private Relay for a particular website, perhaps you can clear all Safari history and cache and then try again. It may not work, however, it's worth a try!
You didn't mention which device, so here is for Mac and iPhone:
