Mac iCloud vs iTunes accounts

I have 2 accounts, one that I use for purchases and subscriptions, and a separate account that I use for iCloud storage and features.

Im not sure if I use both or just one on my old Mac mini, I don't use it too much.

I have a new MacBook Pro and can only seem to sign in to one account for everything. If I change it for one then it appears to change for everything together.

Is it possible to sign in to a separate account for iCloud but keep my App Store and Apple Music signed into the one that is currently signed in?

This issue has been solved:

I have found that I have to log in to iCloud in settings and then sign in to the App Store separately using the store tab at the top of the screen
